Celebrations
Join us in our celebrations, which bring the community together with the desire to promote inclusion through cultural events.
Any families who arrive in Sussex over the year will be invited to one of our New Families Welcome Parties, which take place throughout the year. Please contact us by email or on our Facebook group to find out more!
Christmas
Our Christmas parties, held at Brighton College’s Jubilee Pavilion, are legendary! We provide food, drink, presents and entertainment for the children so the adults can relax on the dancefloor.
We can also provide transport for anyone who cannot reach the venue, in partnership with Brighton College.
Mothers' day
Mothers’ Day is so important, and each year we celebrate in Brighton College’s Great Hall with good food, Syrian music, singing, dancing and a special treat for all the mothers. It is free for anyone to join, and we can provide transport for those who need it.
Summer BBQ
We have a regular Summer BBQ with food and music that brings the community together outside, with plenty of games for the children.
This year’s BBQ will take place on the 4th July at Brighton College. Number restrictions and Covid protocols will apply. If you would like to attend, please contact Ahmad Yabroudi: sussexsyriancommunity@gmail.com.
Arabic Language School
Our Arabic School welcomes all those who want to study for their GCSE or A Level in Arabic language.
At the end of the year we celebrate, inviting parents and family members to join us as we give out certificates and vouchers to those pupils who have completed their studies
The school runs every Sunday at Brighton College Prep School, from 1pm – 4pm in school term time.
