About us
Latest News
The Sussex Syrian Community Group was established in March 2016 in response to the critical and ongoing needs of newly arrived Syrian refugees. Our group is run entirely by Syrian volunteers, for the Syrian community.
We are from a diverse range of ethnic and religious backgrounds. Our group is a reflection of the diverse population of Syria, who have lived in harmony together for centuries. We aim to run services, activities and events that benefit the broad range of Syrians in Brighton and Hove and to ensure everyone feels involved and included.
We also have an active Facebook group and many keen volunteers!
Since 2014 Brighton College has worked closely with the Sussex Syrian Community to provide English learning resources and practise, as well as more recently organising Life in The UK preparation. To visit us at Brighton College on Wednesday afternoon from 3.30pm – 4.30pm, or to ask any questions please get in touch.
